That was a long and painful silence! A few of my blogger buddies vowed to participate in NaBlopomo and committed to blogging everyday for the month of November, but apparently I have vowed just the opposite!
Two reasons for the absence:
1. NO CAMERA...mine is capoot. We've bought battery after battery, but she just won't turn on for me...come on baby, why can't I turn you on anymore? :) So, I've been trying to do some research on an upgrade and what's the best deal for the dollar. I'm here to say that posts are not as exciting without pictures. I can try and explain how ginormous my belly has gotten, but it's not the same without the big bared ball in your face to prove it, that's just a fact.
2. Time crunch. Work has been crazy busy of late, and I find myself to exhausted when I get home from work to even think about sitting in front of the computer and putting thoughts into words. It's all I can do to drive home and if we're lucky make dinner, sometimes this falls to Alex as I lay on the couch and give instruction to my hubby who is always ready to step up and take one for the team in the kitchen. This will hopefully be remedied in the new year as I'm planning to bump my hours down to part time until Baby T's eminent arrival. I really like my job, but the 9-5 is taking its toll and I have nothing ready for this baby! No crib, no stroller or car seat, just clothes, cute clothes I might add, but our little sweetums needs more than cute onesies with "I love Mommy" written on them to survive. Working a couple less days in the week will give me some precious time to decorate and plan for the wee babe!! Two things that I can't wait to do! Just as long as he or she doesn't come a day early we should be fine..hear that? Keep cooking for three and a half more months, minimum, this is your mother speaking!
I just got back from seeing the fam in "the States" as they say up here and am re-acquainted with my dearest friend of all, Target (pronounced with the French soft ending "gheh") Lucky for me, the style of shirts right now is extra super ridiculously long so I was able to buy all my shirts non-maternity just in a bigger size. Nice, long t-shirts and sweaters, none of those empire waisted awful things you see in the maternity stores. I did invest in a great big panelled pair of jeans, but it's a necessary evil because they are so stinking comfortable! I think we should do away with zippers and buttons altogether and move all pants to pull on elastic waisted wonders. I mean really, you can't tell when they're on!
The Family is all good, but again with no pictures, what's the point of going into the whole visit?? It was really relaxing and great to see everybody. We even made it to an IU home game, which is always a good time because the place is absolutley wired-those Hoosier love their basketball I can say that for sure!
Here's to hopefully having a camera soon and getting back on the blogging bandwagon!
